
Oranges, lemons, grapefruits and other varieties of citrus are still in season, which means they are juicier and cheaper than they will be a month from now.
The citrus harvest starts in late fall and continues into early winter. Even now, a few weeks after the end of the harvest, prices are still lower than they will be for the rest of the year. Soon you won't be getting quite as much juice for your buck out of that lemon or orange.
Here are a few recipes to help you make the most of the citrus harvest while it's still at its peak. Valentine's Day hint: both the candied grapefruit peel and the kumquat marmalade recipes pair spectacularly well with chocolate.
