Blanching and Freezing Okra

Freeze chopped okra in a single layer before transferring to freezer containers

Cut off the stem ends of the okra pods and discard (compost if that option is available). Cut the okra into approximately 3/4-inch rounds. Arrange in a single layer on a tray or plate and freeze for 1 hour.
